CONGO
RECORDS
Independent label Reggae label and publishing concern, founded
by Byron Lye-Look. Congo issued just the one single in the 1970s, 'Nation
Fiddler', by Macca Bees (CO-1), which came out in 1977. For some
reason its second single, Jah Lion's, 'Melody for Negus' (COS-2), didn't appear
until 1983. That record had a differently coloured label - light blue
instead of red - and a slightly altered prefix. Thanks to Robert Lyons
For The Info.
