International Records (C.I.R.) was based in Shoreditch High Street,
London. It issued at least five singles in or around 1975, three of which
were by Gene Rondo. Numbering was in two different series: a CIR-0
one and an AT-00 one, and the label came in at least two different
colours. Gene Rondo was born Winston Lara (28 May 1943 in
Greenwich Farm, Kingston, Jamaica and Died 12 June 1994), was a Jamaican reggae
singer. After first recording as part of the duo Gene & Roy in Jamaica, he
relocated to London where he continued to record until the 1980s. Rondo died
from cancer in St Josephs Hospice, Hackney in June 1994.
