Independent label: Chiltern Sound was an offshoot of the record shop of the same name, owned by Michael Eagleton. It seems to have issued only a handful of records; most of them, including singles by Barbara Thompson and by Lol Coxhill, were in 12" format, but there was at least one 7" EP, by the Johnny Rondo Trio ('Las Bicicletas'), which was given a RONDO-1 catalogue number. The label's dates of operation were from 1977 to 1980. Distribution was by JSU and Lugton. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
