Independent label: Chevron was a budget-priced record and tape label. It was owned by Woolworth's, and its products were available only in Woolworth's stores. Chevron records seem to have been issued in the late '70s and early '80s: CHVL-088 came out in 1979, CHVL-188 in 1980. The label appears to have concentrated almost exclusively on LPs and cassettes. 1979 saw the release of a series of 7" EPs dedicated to Ann Petrie's astrological predictions. It seems unlikely that many people would buy an EP to hear their fortune for the coming year, even with a bit of classical music in the background, so perhaps the EPs were included in birthday cards. The reverse of the 'Scorpio - Your Year Ahead' EP has a summary of the general characteristics of Scorpios on it - and no music. Distributed By Multiple Sound Distributors.
