An independent label, A very
limited number came with a handmade picture sleeve. Some came with a stamped
sleeve and the remainder came with a plain sleeve. Stamped white labels on all
versions. The Banned were next signed to Harvest who reissued this single as HAR
5145. The Banned were an English punk/New Wave outfit in the late 1970s.
The Banned had a minor UK hit in 1977 with "Little Girl", a cover version of a
1966 U.S. hit song by the Syndicate of Sound. The Banned's original home
pressing on Can't Eat Records (Eat Up 1) was taken up by EMI's Harvest label.
The Banned originated from Tooting and Camberwell in London. Originally the
Banned were: Paul Sordid - Drums/vocals (real name Paul Aitken) John Thomas -
Bass (real name Jonathan Davie) Rik Manswoth - Guitar/vocals (real name Richard
Harvey) Pete Fresh - Guitar/vocals (real name Pete Airey). Distributed By
Lightning.
