C.A.E
RECORDS
An independent label from Norwich. C.A.E. stood
for 'Chic Applin Entertainments', C.A.E Former Address : 50 Unthank Road
Norwich. There was only two C.A.E. releases one was an anthem in praise of
the local football team: Released to celebrate being the Second Division
Champions in the 1971-72 season and promotion to Division One for the first time
in their history. As is generally the case with football records, the
single seems to have sold well locally and poorly everywhere
else. The other was an EP by Twice As Nice (TAN-001; 1974) who are
reported to have been a Proggy Rock band; TAN-002 came out on the band's own TAN
label. The look of the label suggests that CAE did custom recordings,
which would perhaps explain the high number of the Chic Applin record. Distributed By. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
