BRIGHT
RECORDS
Started up by Anchor Records' in-house publishers after that label
closed, Bright was managed by Martin Wyall and Charlie Crane. The
Adverts' 'No Time To Be 21' (BR-1; 1978), which has a scratched-out Anchor
catalogue number on the run-in, just about made it into the Top 40; there
doesn't seem to have been a BR-2. Distribution was by CBS. The
Bright label reappeared in 1983, with singles numbered in a BULB-0 series;
BULB-1 was a reissue of the Adverts' 'Gary Gilmore's Eyes', and the singles
reached at least BULB-11. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
