BORING
RECORDS
Boring Records was a DIY Punk label, from
1977. Boring was owned by Punk band The Exiles, from Glasgow; its
first release was their, 'Don't Tax Me' EP (BO-1). The band signed to
Charly Records for their second single, and then split up. A new group,
called 'Friction', arose from the remnants; they issued a second single on the
Boring label, 'World In Crisis' (BO-3), in the early '80s. The EXILE was a
Scottish foursome from the Glasgow area, formed in February of 1977 with the
following line-up: Graham Scott (ex-Free Flight- vocals,
guitar), Stan Workman (guitar), Robert Kirk
(bass) and Dougie Burns (drums). Thanks to Robert Lyons
