 Subsidiary Label of United Artists. The Avalanche label seems to have appeared in 1972 and disappeared by 1974. Its catalogue contains a few singer/songwriter things, a smattering of soul, and an ARP synthesiser record by Todd McKilroy ('Wild Heather'; AV-67314), but as far as Britain is concerned it doesn't contain any hits. Distribution over here was by EMI.  Numbering looks to have started at AV-67300, but only in France. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
